The armed forces of any country fascinates us, that is for sure. The love, sacrifice and investments (be them in any perspective) for the country is definitely above all the things and sacrifices we humans make in our life.
The moment I used the word ‘fascinate’, the definition got all fancy and then I thought to conclude why not fancy? Because it’s about the armed forces of countries?
Fascination would make sense if we as the citizens of the country would start conflicting with the right definitions, and start believing in making the perspective right.
I am not playing any psychological trick but trying to make an upfront perspective about our armed forces.
I have always been explained how tough it is to be an army person, measures a person through various psychological and ground tasks. On the grounds of love, affection and the zeal of dedicating the life to protect the country and the civilians definitely aren’t suffice perspectives, one needs a lot more collectively. I do not wish to demean someone’s thoughts and plans, but to tell them clearly and wish them to prepare themselves on all the grounds from the beginning because we all want the best for our countries, no matter what.
So, let’s put us on the same page and think, explore, work on things, emotions that make us weak, and then imagining the uniform that is all to fulfill the mind and heart horizon.

Now, I come to the official and the legal perspectives that make the selection in army (precisely Indian Army) tough –
They compromise in no part, not in talent, not in dedication. The reason being that on officers, only the security of the country rests, anything other than best is not accepted unquestionably.
Huge competition as the population of India. Definitely natural and huge.
The qualifying criteria for entry as an officer in the different organs of the army are stringent. Owing to the ideology of hiring the best talent in the country, no compromise on quality at any costs is made. An example of this is the high frequency at which entire batches of candidates at SSB’s gets washed out, i.e, not even one candidate gets selected.
The selection procedure at the SSB’s is pretty tough and is designed to measure up a person through various tasks to find out the qualities of the candidates.The most elaborate and scientific systems across the globe are used.
Tough Training
It is a matter of fact that some of the people who join the academies are not able to cope up with the tough training and leave midway. While getting into any of the officer training academies, it’s a huge task in itself.
Once you join you would realise that it was the least difficult part of the process. Completing the training successfully is the task that has to be fulfilled.
Despite all this, if you are confident as well as skilled (a rare combination) and have in you what is required to be an officer, nothing can stop you.
