Art inspires, produces an unwillingness to settle for what we have, and a desire for something better. It is the product and producer of creative activity, change; it is essential for continuous development. (Russell L. Ackoff)

Importance of Art In Human Life

Art and the importance of art in a student’s life are predetermined and help in the replenishment of withering of the grass of the mind and various static characteristics. But before talking and telling the necessity, we need to define, this term, ‘Art.’ And after reading a lot about the same and contemplating several sessions about art and importance. My mind settled on this:

To the Human race, Art is an unnecessary necessity and it is difficult to categorize what actually art is and how it functions.

Sometimes it’s east meeting west or as simple as black merging white, forming gray that is the outcome of the two. Creative intelligence is not the only  limited to the field that leads one to the academic heights, every person is an artist and has potential to harness the uproots and come out discretely.

This was just an another paradigm that takes you a while back when you sit and try to grasp out the true meaning of the color formed out of the two.

Every child is born with special artistic sensibilities. If you introduce creativity to kids at an early age you wake up their creativity for life.

People say they think of art as an escape and escape isn’t what our race requires. But to what I have been reading all these years, It’s freedom of expression, your thought, your sight, your idea, and your complete territory that no one could claim of.

It is only the proper guidance that is required to harvest the sight with the prophecy of leading towards the perfection of the nonuniform thoughts.

Importance of Art In Education

In this age, art plays a salient role in molding the minds of children to develop a definite nature and appreciate natural beauty. A creatively inclined student has a positive bent of mind and aesthetic approaches in every work they do.

Basic, subheads mentioned below follow the root towards the artistic recognition of a student and how it leads the life when the student is being helped to acknowledge his/her artistic abilities –

  • Art Evolves Consciousness

The eye sees only what the mind is prepared to comprehend.

— Henri Bergson

If the student is taught, the sense of belonging and the reception of the ideas assembling them exact with the unconscious thoughts of the mind, a deeper constraint is learned and recognized with the appropriate appetite of reasoning with the presentation of the receptional musings.

Freedom of consciousness approaches when we take responsibility for steering our own evolution and the education of our children, mindfully self- directing activities during our free time, showing them how to take control of what they allow into their minds, and how to question and contemplate what is fed to them.

It is important to introduce students since the beginning to see the surroundings variably with the sense of acceptance but an added thought processes, including the varied distinctions about any particular situation. The eyes, the mind, the thought process and then the recepted words.

This is the initiating series of the outcomes of the words, and the presentation of the words shows the independent ideas of the unconsciously conscious mind of that particular person.

The study and persistence of being able to recognize the idea of understanding art is a lifelong process and cannot be contained in one decepted folder of mind. Therefore, Art for children since the beginning.

The Origin of Consciousness in the Breakdown of the Bicameral Mind.

  • It Exposes What Is Hidden Under The Carpet

Once the mind is exposed to retain the belief of finding the beginning point of all the secrecies. The layers keep unfolding, till the eternity.

And children born learners who grow best when encouraged to productize their skills and relish learning. Any art form or artistic practice will help a child to break free, to range with the natural wisdom and develop their creative power. If we encourage our kids allowing and introducing to the antiquities, we increase the chances that they will grow up to be successful, loving, happy and free instead of wandering life long to get a perfect idea.  It is the only patronage from a tender age that helps a child emerge as an artist or have a mind that can appreciate beauty and critique, forming an opinion.

The more the child/student is exposed to break down the limits of the mind and to split the thoughts to get the better paraphrasing, the better s/he gets the way to the world. The carpet, our society hides certain things that the students are never thought to be told about. Art opens the door to them and helps them understand better, availing the possibilities and diversions, to interpret and make a firm choice/ decision.

Art can crack open the cemented opinions and the challenges given, being the most crucial.

Importance of Art In Everyday Life

  • Art Advocates The Difference

The society that has been formed, is rooted with certain values and cultures, that have cemented opinions and could not be accepted if challenged, even if they violate the moral ethics.

What we don’t realize is that this all is a cultural myth, and part of an organized effort by schools, society and especially those in positions of power to choke out creativity and independence, to encourage submissiveness and conformity.

Art doesn’t change the world in a macro level but in a micro-level making a balance. In this sense the power and importance of art cannot be measured. Art is optimistic, so should be one’s lifestyle and the  communication with the art since the beginning of a child’s education helps in the growth and jubilant life.

  • Barometer of Society

Act of shared communication. I make the world, i don’t simply inherit it.

In making the world what does the art do then?

It is impossible to both quantify and qualify how art affects to those who see it because it works in mysterious and subtle ways, measuring and equalising the pressure.

Creating Art

Creating Art

The act of creating art is  a therapy which has been the impetus. Every one of us children has lived like the artists we admire, and we all have the hidden ability to make the right front of the artistic capability we possess more powerfully if we try, and self-healing leading to the ultimate discovery of the content feeling we all search for.

You don’t need to be an expert to enjoy smearing paint on a canvas, write the seismic lines wavering the beats of the heart but to let the art out, and letting your pleasure centers light up your feeling of being, like a child!

Importance of Art In Life

In this age of technology and concrete jungles, art is of paramount importance. We struggle to balance our lives in trying to keep pace with the frenetic pace of life. A student who grows up with an artistic sensibility sees at the world from a different perspective.

  • Art allows for something that cannot be defined.
  • Testifies the power of human imagination.
  • Form of soft power.
  • Functions as conscience of society.
  • Art brings people together across everything.
  • Beyond the existent reality.

It would not be benevolent if I did not add Whitman’s word to such article that has talked about the art in education.

Concluding with his lines:

Love the earth and sun and the animals,

Despise riches, give alms to everyone that asks,

Stand up for the stupid and crazy,

Devote your income and labor to others..

Re-examine all you have been told

in school or church or in any book,

Dismiss whatever insults your own soul;

And your very flesh shall be a great poem…

And have the richest fluency, not only in its words,

But in the silent lines of its lips and face,

And between the lashes of your eyes,

and In every motion and joint of your body.

~ Walt Whitman ~

And you ask us, WHY IS ART IMPORTANT?

We exist because of Art.

Here are some schools in India that enhance the particular artistic values of students-
