The present entrance exam CPT (Common Proficiency Test) is now known as “Foundation Exam." Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is an Entrance Exam conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). A candidate needs to qualify CPT to pursue their career as a Chartered Accountant. The exam is conducted twice a year. It is an entry level test for Chartered Accountancy Course.
The syllabus will be as per the relevant topics.
Candidate must have passed 10+2 examination from a recognised board.
The cost of the application form is Rs. 500/-.
Candidates can either apply online or offline for the exam. Or they can apply offline by obtaining the form from regional offices of ICAI.
The exam is a pen paper based exam.
There are four papers in CA Foundation course. Paper 1 and 3 are Subjective Paper 2 and Paper 4 will be Objective type papers.
The result will be displayed on the official site on the given date.
Candidates can download the admit card from the official website.
Candidate will become eligible to pursue C.A. (Chartered Accountant) offered by ICFAI (The Institute of Chartered Accountant of India).
