The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) conducts the All India Entrance Exam for Admission (AIEEA). The exam is conducted to provide admission to undergraduate as well as post graduate programs in Agriculture other than Veterinary Sciences. The examination is also conducted for the Ph.D. courses namely AICE-SRF (PGS). This article covers all that you need to know about ICAR AIEEA 2017.
The application forms for ICAR AIEEA 2017 can be filled online as well as offline. The application process is likely to start in the month of February. For Ph.d. courses, applications will have to be filed online only.
Online application forms will be available on the official ICAR website.
Offline application forms can be obtained against cash payments from the Registrars of Agricultural University or from the specified Syndicate Bank branches. Candidates can also take the application forms from any of the eight ICAR institutions on payment through demand draft.

The payment can be made through the following modes:

Debit/Credit Card through payment gateway of Canara bank or NEFT.
For AIEEA UG 2017:
The age of the candidate must be between 17 and 23 years, as on 31st August, 2017.
There is a relaxation of 5 years in the upper age limit for reserved category (SC/ST/PC) candidates.
The candidate must have passed 10+2 examination with at least 50% (40% in case of SC/ST/Physically Challenged candidates) marks from any recognized board.
Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, & Biology/Agriculture/Mathematics at 10+2 level.
Candidates who have appeared/will be appearing in the 10 +2 examination can also apply on provisional basis.
For AIEEA PG 2017:
Candidates should not be younger than 19 years on 31 August, 2017.
Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in any of the fields like:
-Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation
-Basic and Allied Sciences, etc.
Candidates must have obtained the bachelor’s degree with at least 60% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PC candidates).
In case of grading system, candidates must have obtained the OGPA of 6.6/10, 3.25/5, 2.60/4 (OGPA of 6/10, 2.75/5, 2.20/4 in case of SC/ST/PC candidates).
AIEEA UG Exam Pattern:
It would be an objective type paper comprising 180 MCQs.
The questions will be asked from the following subjects:
The question paper will be in both: English and Hindi.
One mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer.
AIEEA PG Exam Pattern:
It will be an objective type paper comprising 150 MCQs and 10 cross matching questions.
This paper will be in English only.
1 mark shall be deducted for every wrong MCQ and .2 for each wrong cross matching.
Candidates will be provided with two admit cards while applying for the exam. In these cards, candidates will be required to fill in all details except roll number and examination venue. Candidates will have to keep a copy with themselves and send the other copy along with the application form to the authority.
Results for ICAR AIEEA 2o17 are likely to be announced in the month of May 2017. Candidates can check their results from the official website.
