Indian Institute of Mass Communication was founded in 1965 by Govt. of India. The institute strives to create a dynamic learning and working environment which nurtures new concepts, creativity, research and scholarship and develops leaders and innovators in the field of media and mass communication. It considers communication as an imperative for development and is committed to serving society by providing world-class teaching, training and research, thus preparing students to take on the challenges of an extremely competitive world. The mission is to set global standards for media education, research, extension and training. Over the years, IIMC has expanded and now offers regular Post-graduate Diploma Courses. It strives to impart world class teaching to prepare the students to take on the challenges of a highly competitive world.
